Personal Social Media Work
Social media is all about connecting with an audience through entertainment, education, music, trends or whatever niche you pick. Here are samples of my personal social work I have done that have driven me to gaining over 200,000 impressions this past month on just Instagram as in my niche as an “unprofessional music journalist.”
Part 1 of an evergreen series covering the rise and fall of the famous A$AP Mob from New York. This video specifically gained over 88,000 views and over 5,000 likes just on Instagram and proves that people like to learn about the journey their favorite artists took to get famous
Everyday I post a “1 Minute Music News” segment where I pick an interesting current even in music and let people know about it. This allows people to stay up to date on what is happening and how music interacts with other global issues such as AI and the economy.
Having just moved to New York City, I took the opportunity to let my followers get to know me a little more by starting a series where I go to a place that they recommend to me. It allows me to explore NYC and builds engagement between me and people scrolling to where they see me outside of just a news source.
Part 1 of a series covering beef between underground rap artists Che and 9 Vicious as it was happening in real time. People could see how the beef started and escalated as it happened and got the full story and background information rather than news clippings or random headlines that they themselves would have to piece together.
